The thermometer has dropped the past week as is typical here in winter when cloudless skies turn clear as crystal. I got super chilled walking the beach. My feet felt cold as this bulb kelp.
Looking north up the Narrows toward town, the last of the short day sunlight fades on Kupreanof Island.
such a beautiful sky... happy solstice to you, susan... xoxo
ReplyDeleteBeing from Canada I don't have to stretch my imagination very far to understand how utterly miserable the weather can probably sometimes get in Alaska. On clear days, though, with little or no wind, it doesn't matter how cold it is; nothing beats a brisk, bracing walk outside.
