After work on Monday I took the beach walk north of my house and was captivated by this bulb kelp draped across the tide line.

This skunk cabbage leaf had the most lovely tobacco chartreuse hue - my photo doesn't really do justice.

ahhhh, that chartreuse... such a treat to see, wherever it happens to pop up...

Love kelp colors -- I've dyed silk numerous times in kelp colorways. Have you tried weaving that kelp? It makes fabulous baskets!

Ooooh! No, I have no weaving experience of any kind, but love the idea and may have to give it a try. Chartreuse is all around me right now as our muskegs go to autumn colors.
