Here at my Mother and Father's house, breakfast is always eaten together as a leisurely meal and the food is nearly always the same:
Childhood memory:
breakfast one morning in summer during our vacation from school
Mother offering us Rice Crispies with fruit ice rather than milk
delicious!
Patrice was the host for this challenge. Please drop 'round her fascinating blog for more visions of food from artists around the world.
I haven't had the chance to stop in in awhile. I hope all goes well and you are enjoying family and new explorations. Cindi
ReplyDeleteFood is indeed a source of memories! Fascinating drawing btw leena
ReplyDeleteit's things like that childhood memory which make us so distinctly who we are, I think. Had a good chuckle over your fruit ice: I can no longer eat dairy so that cereal sounds like the dog's woofwoof to me!
ReplyDeleteIt sound and looks like a good childhood memory! Eric
ReplyDeleteI love the consistency of this post- why is it so comforting to know that you eat the same things for breakfast at your folks house- :) and a lovely illustration to boot!
ReplyDeleteLove how you composed that drawing, perfect! Hope all goes swimmingly in Denver. Thinking of you. xo

ReplyDeletei am so so late with my food post...hopefully it will be up before tonight! xxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sus, you should seriously consider making this drawing into a greeting card. Eat up, before the coffee gets cold. xo Carole
ReplyDeleteNothing new to add to what has already been said. I always enjoy your drawings and I especially like how you have composed the border on this one. Banana border, haha.
