drawing challenge: food

Here at my Mother and Father's house, breakfast is always eaten together as a leisurely meal and the food is nearly always the same:
Childhood memory:
breakfast one morning in summer during our vacation from school
Mother offering us Rice Crispies with fruit ice rather than milk
delicious!

Patrice was the host for this challenge. Please drop 'round her fascinating blog for more visions of food from artists around the world.

  3. it's things like that childhood memory which make us so distinctly who we are, I think. Had a good chuckle over your fruit ice: I can no longer eat dairy so that cereal sounds like the dog's woofwoof to me!

  8. Hi Sus, you should seriously consider making this drawing into a greeting card. Eat up, before the coffee gets cold. xo Carole

  9. Nothing new to add to what has already been said. I always enjoy your drawings and I especially like how you have composed the border on this one. Banana border, haha.

and i agree, food brings back sweet memories
some weeks ago we ate French toast (not totally sure this is a right translation) made of sugar loafs
and that is something my father used to make when i was a child
i had not ate them for years, they were so good
    hmm...

    thanks for joining!
