I am stepping forward on a new project as the first month of
2013 closes.
The only rules: use only
the things I have on hand already - spend no money.
|
Tissue lame and other leftovers from previous projects litter my work table. |
|
My design is inspired by a Dover book of medieval graphics. |
|
Acrylic paints and Stewart Gill glitter paint on cardboard box. |
|
Cardboard cutouts will embellish parts of the work. |
|
Here is a close up of the front of the creation (far from complete at this point). |
Hope to complete this project
by the end of the week. I will reveal the finished product the first part of March, after the annual local wearable art show. What are you making today?
That gold has me swooning Sus! Looking forward to seeing this when it's complete. It looks like you are having fun! And, I like the idea of spend no fresh money on fresh art supplies. *smiles* Norma, x
ReplyDeleteOoh, that's inticing! I'm working on our Fiberactions piece this week, along with more gelli plate printing. Have a great rest of the week! xo
ReplyDeleteHa ! Sus ! That first pic is my favourite : your skirt, socks shoes ánd the spotted floor ha !
ReplyDeleteGreat fishes, you always know how to build up the tension ...
(I'm knitting my double-knit scarf .... can't stop : want to see what colour combination the skeins come up with next !!! )
Creativity and rules go together so well don't they? I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Very cool looking fish Sus, and I like the "use what you have" angle. I'm doing some sashiko embroidery on a wool scarf and trying to finish some slipcovers. Making more flowers too, as I wait for inspiration on the perfect placement to finish a couple collages.
ReplyDeleteThis is looking very interesting Sus....cant wait to see it finished :)
